Project Objectives

  • To introduce environmental and climate education to children through a fun, interactive, and non-digital card game.
  • To nurture eco-consciousness and critical thinking in children by engaging them in topics like climate change, pollution, biodiversity, recycling, and sustainability.
  • To reach 100,000 children across Bangladesh within one year through direct sales, donations, CSR support, and partnerships.
  • To provide a scalable, flexible, and culturally adaptable educational tool that is accessible across socio-economic groups and regional contexts.
  • To support cognitive, social, and moral development in children through collaborative, skill-based play.

Project Summary

The Climate Hero Card Game, developed by Super Kid Initiatives, is a 48-card educational flashcard game designed for children aged 7 and up (also playable by children as young as 4 with support). This hands-on, screen-free activity introduces key environmental themes through fun, adaptable gameplay. The cards are divided into three primary categories,  Resources, Technology, and Phenomena, with additional trick cards to keep the game exciting.

Climate Hero can be used in classrooms, learning centres, and at home, and is effective across multiple languages and cultural settings. It has already been incorporated into school programs, environmental campaigns, and workshops such as Recycled Art for a Sustainable Tomorrow (RAST), reinforcing its value as a multipurpose learning tool.

To reach its goal of 10,000 children in one year, the initiative plans to distribute the card game through:

  • Direct sales to privileged families and institutions
  • CSR and donor-supported sponsorships for underprivileged and rural children
  • Integration into educational programs and NGO-led workshops

 

The product’s low price point, customizable packaging options for bulk donors, and proven field use make it a scalable and inclusive model for environmental education.
