Well-being plays a foundational role in child development

Well-being is the foundation of child development, supporting a child’s physical health, emotional security, and social skills. Interestingly, the well-being of parents and those around the child also influences the child’s well-being. Due to this, a child’s own well-being is one of the most complex and nuanced areas of development, often receiving less attention than it truly deserves. When children feel safe, loved, and valued, they grow into confident, curious, and resilient individuals—qualities essential for learning and overcoming challenges. Without strong well-being, children cannot fully develop, build healthy relationships, or succeed in life and school.
