Project Summary

On September 13–14, 2024, Super Kid Initiatives, in collaboration with Shampan Shishu Kishor Sangathan, conducted a two-day creative workshop titled “Paint Your T-Shirt” in Uttara, Dhaka. The event welcomed 87 child participants, providing them with all the necessary materials, including paints, brushes, stamps, and T-shirts.

The first day focused on practicing fabric painting techniques using a variety of tools – brushes, vegetable stamps, and wooden blocks. On the second day, children designed and painted their white T-shirts, which they took home as wearable symbols of creativity and self-expression. The workshop concluded with a joyful certificate and photo session. The initiative emerged as a response to the silent emotional toll recent national events had on children. It aimed to reinvigorate their mental well-being and nurture creativity in a stress-free, play-based environment.

Tanzil Hasan, Founder & CEO of Super Kid Initiatives, emphasized that the workshop was also a step toward encouraging children to explore art-based entrepreneurship and the Creative Economy (Orange Economy). The ultimate vision includes showcasing children’s artwork on platforms like Art Creates Hope.
