Weary Light
The city dwellers are all confined by the high-rise buildings. Our minds are also imprisoned in the intriguing world of the internet. The world of available storybooks is filled with strange and foreign stories. There is rarely anything for children that they can read and relate to express their simple day-to-day activities. There is less for them to read and also learn from the stories.
Arisha is a representative of a middle-class girl from an urban society. Her day-to-day endeavours can be a reflection of our own lives. We might connect to some of our life essence from Arisha’s stories.

Description
“Weary Light” teaches young children about energy conservation and the importance of conserving electricity. In the story, little Arisha and her favorite Doel bird, Dulu, learn from her father why saving electricity is important. Later, we see how she helps her neighbors avoid wasting electricity.
One of the unique features of the Weary Light book is that it is a bilingual book, with Bengali on one side and English on the other. This allows children to read the same story in both languages, helping them develop their bilingual skills. The book also contains interactive activities and presents the entire story as a charming poem in both Bengali and English.
